Where is my information stored?

Patient records are stored locally on the device used to run FollowUp.

Does FollowUp require an account?

No. FollowUp does not require registration or an online account.

Can the developer see my patient records?

No. The developer does not have remote access to records stored locally inside the app.

How do backups work?

Users can manually export a JSON backup and choose where it is stored using the Apple share sheet.

How do I restore a backup?

Use the Backup and Restore tools inside the app’s Options screen and select a valid FollowUp backup file.

What happens if I delete the app?

Locally stored records may be removed. Users should create and safely store a backup before deleting or reinstalling the app.

Do notifications show patient details?

Follow-up reminders are designed not to show patient names, diagnoses, phone numbers, file numbers, or other patient-identifiable information.

Can I erase all stored patient data?

Yes. The Options screen contains a protected Erase All Data process requiring strong confirmation.

Is FollowUp a medical record system?

No. FollowUp is a personal organizational tool and is not a replacement for an electronic medical record or hospital information system.
